On April 4, 2024, His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America, and members of the Greek American community were warmly welcomed to the White House by President Joe Biden for a celebration marking the 203rd Anniversary of Greek Independence. The distinct recognition by the White House has been an honored tradition since 1987. 

Greektown in Chicago was a wave of blue and white as Greek Americans, Chicagoans, and spectators from near and far attended the Greek Heritage Parade on April 7, 2024, to commemorate Greek Independence Day, which was March 25.

On April 6, 2024, the Federation of Hellenic-American Societies of Philadelphia and the Greater Delaware Valley presented its Eleftheria Medal to Dr. Anthony J. Limberakis, Archon Megas Aktouarios, National Commander of the Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.

“Celebrating Greek Independence Day at WABC Radio,” hosted by the Catsimatidis Family on March 25, was a true reflection of Greek heritage and pride, bringing together members of the Greek American community in New York City.

On Sunday January 7, 1984, the internationally acclaimed conductor, music director, and producer, Peter E. Tiboris, conducted his first concert in New York, at Lincoln Center, and created his concert company, MidAmerica Productions, Inc. and MidAm International, Inc., with the support of Archbishop Iakovos and the assistance of Paulette Poulos and Fr. Alexander Karloutsos.
