Pappas Named Archon Regional Commander

Christopher J. Pappas of Houston, Texas, a member of the Board of Trustees of Leadership 100, was appointed in April of 2012 as Regional Commander of the South Central United States, Order of Saint Andrew the Apostle, Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in America, with the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios of America, Exarch of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, according to Dr. Anthony J. Limberakis, National Commander, who is also a member of Leadership 100.

“Archon Pappas has been an active member of the Order of Saint Andrew since 2008 and was instrumental in securing passage of religious freedom resolutions for the Ecumenical Patriarchate in both the Texas State Senate and Texas State House of Representatives,” said Dr. Limberakis.
Pappas, an Archon Prostatis Ton Grammaton and a member of Annunciation Cathedral in Houston, who has more than 30 years experience in the restaurant industry, is actively involved in operations of the Pappas restaurants and in the development of new sites and concepts. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
Currently, he serves on the Board of Directors for the Greater Houston Partnership, the Dean’s Advisory Board at the Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management at the University of Houston, the Board of Directors of the National Restaurant Association, the Texas Restaurant Association, and the Greater Houston Restaurant Association. He and his wife, Maria, have five grown children.
