The Hellenic Initiative will honor two prominent members of Leadership 100, John A. Catsimatidis and George Marcus, at its Third Annual Banquet on Wednesday, September 30, 2015, at 4 World Trade Center in New York City.
Catsimatidis, of New York City, who is a member of the Leadership 100 Executive Committee, is Founder and Chairman of the Red Apple Group, as well as a noted entrepreneur, philanthropist and supporter of Hellenic causes. He also is Publisher of the Hellenic Times and hosts CATS Roundtable on AM Radio 970, Sunday mornings 9-10am.
George Marcus, of San Francisco, who served for many years on the Executive Committee and Board of Trustees of Leadership 100, is noted for his visionary leadership of the Marcus & Millichap Company, which he founded and has served as Chairman since 1971. Also a noted philanthropist and supporter of Hellenic causes, he is the founder of the National Hellenic Society.
Both Catsimatidis and Marcus are Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.
The Hellenic Initiative is actively engaged in developing entrepreneurship and job creation in Greece, as well as providing crisis relief since the economic situation has worsened there.
